CHS Makes Program Additions and Changes

The College of Health Sciences has made additions and changes necessary to program offerings to meet the needs of the students of today: 

  • Introduction of undergraduate program in Global Hospitality and Tourism major for eCampus with 2 concentrations, Gastronomic Tourism and Sustainable Hospitality.  

  • Introduction of the Substance Use Prevention Minor in the Health Promotion and Administration Department.

  • Modified the Health Services Administration major by adding the online modality through eCampus with 2 concentrations, Health Informatics and Information Management, and Health Care Management

  • Reinstatement of Associate of Science in Nursing degree effective fall 2020.

  • Reinstatement of Family & Consumer Sciences Education degree effective fall 2021.

  • Modified Department of Recreation and Park Administration offices/classrooms, relocated to Combs Building.

  • Decreased number of credit hours necessary for the Doctor of Nursing Practice program, allowing for increased enrollment.

  • The first cohort of students entered into the entry-level Doctorate of Occupational Therapy program.
